Christmas Cactus Plant
Christmas cactuses are of different colors. This tree is not cut. This tree flowers in winter and before Christmas or Christmas, that’s why this tree is called Christmas tree and also called star cactus and holiday cactus. This plant likes moisture, if moisture is not kept, flowers will not come. Food should be given before winter. Flowers should not be fed or not. In winter, water should be given after three days and in summer days, water should be given after 1 day. Do not give more water. You can’t give less, you have to give as much as you can. During winter this plant can withstand the heat of the sun or can be kept outside but during summer it cannot withstand the heat of the sun. It should be kept outside in winter and inside in summer. The plant should be mixed with cocopeat, sand and compost. The flower pot cannot be changed, the pot of this plant should be a little bigger. This plant hangs down so it is better to hang it. It is beautiful to see flowers blooming all around.
***Christmas cactus plant soil: Gardening soil 40%, vermicompost 30%, white sand 20%, cocopeat 10% or rice husk. All should be mixed well to prepare the soil and the plant should be planted and kept in a place with light and air.
***Christmas cactus plant food: As a liquid fertilizer, banana peel should be soaked for three days and some water should be added to the root of the plant in the morning. Again vermicompost or MPK fertilizer should be given 20,20,20 once a month to the root of the plant.
***Fungicide problems: Due to overwatering, the root of the plant may be attacked by fungus, in which case fungicide spray should be done once a month. There is no problem with this plant or there is no need to give pesticides. This plant should be kept in indirect sunlight.
